it smells so lettucy

I harvested a head of lettuce last night and the smell – wow.  Homegrown veggies have such a strong, hardy, yummy smell, stronger than grocery store veggies.  There is one benefit to buying store-bought veggies though; I’ve never cleaned a head of lettuce and found critters inside.  Yikes!!  I had to call Husband to the [...]
