summer joys
June 12, 2009 by kissmyknits
This is what’s been making me happy lately:

These are my two tomato plants. Beefsteak on the right, Romas on the left.

This is going to be a tomato!! Can you believe it?

Peppermint (below) and Lavender (above)

My herbs - Rosemary, two different Sage, two different Thyme, Basil

Fresh strawberries straight from the garden. Who wants shortcake?

Broccoli - Five stalks.

The stalks are so big for how much vegetable you get!

Jasmine - it's taken off.

Close up of the blossoms.

The wildflowers growing all over our mini hillsides.

Close up
And finally…a dog enjoying a summer’s day indoors. He moves inch by inch as the sun passes over our skylights.

Everything looks beautiful!
Wow, your plants look great!
Oh my gosh, I could taste & smell everything, those pcitures are sooooo awesome!!! What a peaceful place to be.
Aaaahhh, nice. I will live vicariously through your summer loves as I pack and sort and pack some more…and still will not have a garden in the new place…but some day…
Thanks everyone!! It’s been very nice. I’m having fun and learning a lot.
Your herbs and veggies look great, but the puppy shot is the best! Oh, to be a dog and get to lie around in the sun all day — that is the life!
You have foxgloves growing wild? I’m jealous. And the jasmine, too.
Isn’t it awesome how much seeing a little plant appear, when YOU grew it?? That broccoli looks awesome. I bet it tastes fantastic!
