Husband heard about this burger place in Ocean Beach called Hodads. So we went over and there was a line out the door and around the building. We decided that we didn’t want to wait, but given the fact that many people were willing to wait that long for a sandwich, we’d come back. And we did. And the whole time I was thinking of my friends R and J and how much they would dig this place. Then I reminded myself that J is a vegetarian. Well, she could eat the onion rings and have a shake. Yum! You have to check out this review, which has pictures, better than mine. Check out “miles worth driving.” 85!!
I strongly recommend the onion rings over the french fries.

This place is so cool! Rob would probably think it a waste that all of those awesome boards are hanging there, not being surfed. Question: Did they offer a veggie burger? Seems like every restaurant in Cali is required by state law to offer a veggie burger!
I just recommended this place to a friend who is heading to San Diego (and thought I would do a wordpress search). It was 2004 when I was last there but it was a great wee place, I’ll definitely head there again when I next make it into town.
