that’s what happens when you take ambien

I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned that I’ve had insomnia off and on for the last year.  It’s pretty ridiculous.  Because I knew I might be starting a job soon, I’ve been trying to change the 2am bedtime/10am wake time (and that’s if I’m lucky) to a 9pm bedtime/6am wake up.  I think I’m immune to Ambien because I take it and nothing happens.  Unless I follow it up with a wine chaser.  Very healthy.  So last night I think, “Eh, I’ll do the contest thing now because tomorrow I’ll be so busy getting ready for my friend’s visit (of which I am so excited).”  I was under the influence of Ambien last night when I drew names for the contest and posted the results.  A few of you mentioned that you’d like to know the answers…yeah, that’s a good idea!!   So here they are:

1. How addicted am I to coffee?  90%  according to some online quiz.  I think they’re way off.  If I was able to leave 8th grade English with 107%, I think I can be considered 107% addicted to coffee.
2. What item of my past did I sell on Craig’s List because I spent too much money on yarn?  My guitar.
3. How many blogs have I started and then deleted before this one?  3
4. How many total miles did I drive between March 26th and May 12th and where did I go? (Tricky!)  My math said 8631
5. What was the first garment I knitted and for whom did I knit it?  Okay, this turned out to be tricky, though I didn’t mean it to be. So if you answered Karaoke Cable Scarf for Grandma your name got added to the pot, but I was thinking the Picot Dress for my niece.
6. What’s the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life?  Swim with dolphins in Hawaii.
7. Which pattern did I knit for my first-ever pair of socks?  Again, like #5, this turned out to be tricky, though unintentionally so.  I did indeed start Knitting Pure and Simple Children’s socks for my first socks, though I didn’t finish them.  My first completed pair of socks were the Uptown Boot Socks.
