I’ve written this post about four times now, something must be wrong with WordPress. But I’m going to try it again, only with fewer words. I was super witty in the posts that got erased…sorry you have to miss out on all that verbal fun!
I’ve finished the Picot Dress from Special Knits by Debbie Bliss. I used Rowan Wool Cotton, 954, about 3 balls for the smallest size, size US5 circulars (until finishing which required smaller needles). I’m happy with it and grateful to Caryn, my knitting teacher who taught me techniques yesterday that I will be able to use forever.

Oh no! I gotta see pics of the completed dress! Do you have the pics uploaded to your Flickr account? I hope you’re all packed for your trip.
It looks adorable! You should be proud! Yea for you!

Ok now I just have to have a girl – so you can knit one for me. And if it’s a boy – well guess he’ll wear a light blue knitted dress! Happy B-day! Love ya.

) I would love to knit you this dress. I’m going to try baby sweaters next, although that might not be appropriate for Arizona heat!

Oh that turned our so cute! You should be very proud. It sounds like your road trip will be very long. We are going to VA in May, but we are flying, which I dread and would rather take a train or drive. I hate to fly, I am a mess for weeks ahead of time worrying about it.
Tana, the dress is so cute. You did a great job. If I ever find out that I will be a grandma of a little girl, you can help me.

I am so confused on the back of this dress where you place the stiches on the holder on the “Shape neck” section. If I am reading this correctly you knit part of one half of the upper back and then the other part by reconnecting the yarn to the stitches on the holder. How do you reconnect the yarn, knit the two halves together and why is it done this way? I hope this is clear, I don’t know how else to phrase this and I have asked several people at my local knitting store. Nobody understands this and as I am a beginner (this is my 1st pattern) I certainly don’t Help!
